African Strings
Dance along to Ukulele music, eat delicious cakes and support a worthy cause!
African Strings is night of brilliant music at Studio 2, Parr Street starts at 7.30pm. Showcasing the best of ukulele, guitars and beautiful voices. The organisers are chocolate lovers and always offers the crowd a selection of delicious cakes to accompany the music. The line up Beer of the Infantry are a quartet of upbeat ukulele from between the wars, jazz swing & blues. Eleonore Charlotte, acoustic singer & songwriter so talented she wins competitions. Colin Eccleston, a mega good ukulele player from Liverpool. Andrew Graham Powell, a singer, songwriter, super guitar player. Hope Street Harmonies, a collection of the most beautiful voices.
All proceeds go to the charity DRIP Uganda, an organisation that focuses on the construction of rainwater harvesting units and horticultural training within Uganda. We work with communities in Uganda to supply the most needy families with rainwater tanks and equip them with the knowledge and tools to use them.
You can count the £3 entry as your good deed for the day.
